"The Group Decided"
9 1/2 x 12 acrylic on paper  (NFS) from private collection

I hope some of my followers won't disown me for putting the abstracts on, but I am hard at work on a big watercolor with lots of interesting details, so bear with me.

This painting started with an idea of colorful friends in a group talking, swapping ideas, etc., so I used the elongated shapes and bright colors to convey my idea. Some shapes are smaller than others and the color blue seems to be the common thread that ties it all together. I accented shapes with black and used some lines for emphasis. I liked the results and hope you do, too. I welcome any comment!
This painting was done quite a while ago and I signed my name differently then, in case you notice a different signature. But rest assured, this painting was done during my "abstract period" by me!

  1. I love the colours in your abstract. I see abstracts in public buildings all the time so they never seem to go out of style.
