"One Fine Day"

"One Fine Day"

10 x 14 Watercolor

$145

A seagull seems to catch the attention of one of the little boys, while the other one is busy pouring water on his sand sculpture. So you think there is a storm approaching and the little ones will have to find their parents and go home? The story behind this painting is left for your imagination! Click on it for a closer view.

"Spare Tires"

"Spare Tires"

9 x 13 watercolor

$200

Painted from my adventure touring a local "tractor graveyard", this watercolor was done mostly wet into wet. I applied some juicy paint for the ground and used siran wrap on it to get the texture I wanted. It leads your eye into the center of interest, the old tires.

"John's Little Boots, No.4"

"John's Little Boots, No.4"

6 x 6 egg tempera

$60

This is the final painting in the little boy's boot series. I think I personally like this one best! I love egg tempera. It is fun to use and has such a glow about it..an old world sort of look, which is just perfect for these little boots. Notice all the nails in the soles, showing that they had to be passed done from one little boy to another many times. I like the added touch of the marbles. Click on this to enjoy the detail.

"John's Boots #3"

"John's Boots #3"

6 x 6x oil on panel

$60

My third boot painting in the series. I just can't paint these well worn boots enough! I can just imagine the little ones who have worn these, because I am certain they were handed down quite a lot! Oil paints always produce a rich look. I particularly like the red and gold colors next to all the brown in the boots. Click on it for a closer view. You can purchase from me using Pay Pal. All you do is click on the Buy Now icon to the right and it really makes it easy! Also take a look at my gallery at DailyPaintworks.com. Some of my paintings are up for auction there. "John's Little Boots"

"John's Little Boots"

6 x 6 watercolor

$60

Little Johnny didn't have any shoe strings and he wasn't the first little boy to wear these boots, but did he have fun in them! Why, he splashed in every puddle he came across and he climbed many trees wearing these ole' boots, but the best part was that he could just slip right out of them when it was bare-feet weather! Enlarge by clicking on it and enjoy Johnny's memories.
