"Fall Still Life with Pumpkin"

"Fall Still Life with Pumpkin"
8 x 10 acrylic on stretched canvas

$65

I sat up a Fall still life after finding the adorable pumpkin at the grocery store. I tried taking the photo a number of times and never could get the correct background color! It is actually more green than blue....don't understand what is wrong. Perhaps the lighting, as the day is very overcast and not sunlit at all.
Hope you enjoy this little bit of Fall.

"Fall Leaves"

"Fall Leaves"

9 x 11 Watercolor

$45

In Florida, there are few Deciduous trees and you don't see many colorful leaves until winter actually, when some trees look quite "Fallish". However, I found some very colorful leaves lying about especially the beautiful crotons. Arranged on a piece of paper, they were quite attractive to paint. The background is white, but the camera darkened it. You can see how colorful some of these leaves are.

"Tropical Potting Shed"

"Tropical Potting Shed"

16 x 20 Acrylic on Stretched Canvas

$250

I had this painting started before my holiday to England and Ireland, so I wanted to finish it before starting the cottage and village series I'm planning. This little shed is at Heathcote Botanical Garden in Ft. Pierce, Florida and I took a few artists' liberties with color and added the fence, etc. That is the fun of painting...to make the painting yours....to add what you need to add to make the composition pleasing. To me, this is a very inviting painting...makes you want to go up the garden path and see what is in the shed! I love the tropical foliage and colors. Hope you enjoy it ,too. To purchase a painting, click on  Buy Now in the left column. Check out my gallery, too and as always, you can click on the painting for a closer view.

"Little Dream Cottage"

"Little Dream Cottage"

6 x 6 watercolor

$45

A tiny cottage nestled in the foothills of the misty English mountain....ahhh, what a dream it is! This sketch was painted just after my trip to the Cotswolds, before the photos were developed. Just from my memory and imagination, I used a fine point pen to enhance the wet into wet colors.

"A Cotswold Ciottage"

"A Cotswold Cottage"

6 x 6 watercolor

$45

I've just returned from a holiday in Northern Ireland, Scotland, and the Cotswolds, England. We were on a coach tour, so there was not much time to paint, but I managed to do this small painting of a thatch-roofed cottage. I am hoping to start a whole series of cottage paintings. The Cotswolds region was amazing with many quaint villages and towns, lovely stone cottages. I came home with lots of photos and sketches and ideas!
