Everyday I will be posting a painting I have created or am working on, plus comments, tips, and ideas relating to painting.

Here is the watercolor painting I am working on now! It is beside the still life arrangement I sat up and right now I am working on the cathedral quilt. It is so much fun and I am excited about the possibilities in this still life. The challenge with the whites and the clear glass antique wash board will be interesting and hard. I love it!! Stay tuned because this one will take a while!
ANNOUNCING! PAINTING GIVE AWAY!!
That's right--I am going to give away FREE, including shipping, one of my small paintings to a viewer! All you have to do to enter is sign on with Google as my follower. Just click on "Follow" which is on the right side of my blog, and go through a few simple steps to sign on. It takes only a minute. The contest goes until Dec. 1 and all my followers' names will then be put in a drawing and the winner will be notified in my blog. They can contact me with where to ship the free painting. I know many people who look at my blog have not signed on as a follower and now is your opportunity!
I haven't decided what to paint for the contest yet, but in a few days I will decide and do that special painting and post it. So keep watching and be sure to sign up as a follower. Remember, the drawing will be Dec.l
Painting is my passion and I try to paint as much as possible everyday. I love gardening and decorating my home, but when it is hot like it is here in summer, I find my studio is where I want to be! I have also been writing a book about my experiences in the antique shop business. Writing a book is a lot of hard work, what with editing and trying to get one's ideas down in a concise and interesting manner, not to mention the frustrations of using the computer!! I've almost completed it, though. I love so many creative things, including quilting! There just is not enough hours in the day.
