I am working on a new painting of an American Bald Eagle, our nation's symbol of freedom! This painting is for a charity event to be held in mid April and will be auctioned off.
I am painting it on a hardboard panel, gessoed many times until perfectly smooth. This will allow me to do a very detailed, realistic painting.
First I painted in the sky with Cerulean blue, white and a bit of cadium yellow.The bird's left wing will go off the board because the important thing I want to concentrate on will be the feet. In the lower right hand corner will be a dead tree limb he will be heading for. I will post the finished painted or the work I've accomplished tomorrow.
That's going to be a beautiful painting! Looking forward to seeing the finished result.
