"Sea Grape Leaves"
8x10 watercolor $125.
This painting of Florida Sea Grape Leaves was done basically "wet into wet". That means just what it says---while an area is wet, you wash other colors into it, getting subtle color changes and overlapping colors. It is interesting and makes for freely done areas. Some of the lines in the leaves were then obtained by wetting the tip of the brush with water only and lifting color out.. Click on this to see details.
I like that a lot - it's almost abstract. I'd like to see it next to a photo of a real Sea Grape...
ReplyDeleteReally pretty. I was thinking it was a little abstract and I see that Mark has said that already.
ReplyDeleteI love the blends of green and the details of the veins in the leaves.
