Zinnias are my favorite flowers for hot sunny weather and I have a profusion of them in the garden. In this painting, I opted to arrange the flowers with a few leaves in a pleasing way to make a composition without a vase or flower container. For a round painting it works well and I could focus on each flower and its relationship to others. It was fun to paint. You can see the white edge around the painting, which can be cut off if it is mounted on a backing and framed, or it can be framed with a round mat and frame. Either way is pretty.
