The old school house, turned into a museum. is probably the most historic building here and it is typical Florida "cracker" style. I chose to do this painting of just a part of the building because of the interesting shadows playing on the building and in the yard. Later I may do the whole building. I love historic structures! ReplyDeleteThanks for your kind words on my blog. I have entered enough shows to know that judging is very subjective and sometimes political, so if I don't get in a show I'm not bothered by it. I paint for my own enjoyment and if someone else likes it, that's good, too.
It looked so simple to paint but if not for the shadows and the play of lights, it will look flat.Nicely done Egretta!
