"Orchid Tree"

I painted this from the Hongkong Orchid Tree that is on my property. It blooms usually in the Fall. The orchid-colored flowers look like real orchids and the leaves resemble cow's hooves!
Isn't this tree the one called Bauhinia? (Do you remember Fer blogging about it?) It's beautiful whatever its name.
