A friend has several different kind and color of laying hens and it is fun just to watch them scratch around and roam free. Of course, she has a big fenced in area to keep predators away from them. The eggs she gathers are amazing and many colored. My favorite hen is the one I dubbed, "Little Red Hen"! Click on the painting to see details.
