This was a fun painting that I did for my students as a demo. I was teaching them how to use the white of the paper as their "whites" and how to use clear plastic wrap on wet paint to create texture. Click on it for a close up view.
It is beautiful, Egretta. It resonates with me as I am going through an emotional storm. I wish that I could paint a painting as gently powerful and as beautiful as yours is. - June
June, I haven't heard from you in a while and am glad to get your very nice comment. I am sorry about what you are going through and hope the situation improves speedily. I miss your blog and seeing your wonderful creations. All the best, Egretta
I like the dark colours you've used, mixed with the whites and blues. There's alot of interest in this painting; I see different things every time I look at it.

Painting is my passion and I try to paint as much as possible everyday. I love gardening and decorating my home, but when it is hot like it is here in summer, I find my studio is where I want to be! I have also been writing a book about my experiences in the antique shop business. Writing a book is a lot of hard work, what with editing and trying to get one's ideas down in a concise and interesting manner, not to mention the frustrations of using the computer!! I've almost completed it, though. I love so many creative things, including quilting! There just is not enough hours in the day.
Looks a bit too stormy for my liking - mustn't be a Florida beach...!
