"The Red Teapot Tea Room"
12 x 16 Watercolor
$150
I have finally finished this watercolor! It just didn't seem to want to be finished! Or maybe I labored over it unnecessarily. I enjoyed doing the sky and love how it looks. I enjoyed the texture done with dry brush technique. But somehow I got a little bogged down with detail and wish I had been a little more playful in the application of the paint. Still, it captures the essence of the tearooms in Cotswold. Hope you like it! Click on it for a closer look. Was the tearoom really in such a good state of repair, Egretta? Not delapidated, like so many "quaint" tearooms / pubs in our country these days (for want of money to do the necessary maintenance)?
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty painting; it has turned out really well. Looks like the perfect tea room to have cream tea in the Cotswolds.
