"Bougainvillea Blooms"
8 x 10 Watercolor
$75
I finished the watercolor started yesterday. Having done no planning at all and I really didn't even set up a still life, I just let things happen as they would! I did a couple of unexpected things, such as the two red lines, one on the bowl and the other up a little higher in the painting. Many things I do when I paint just is an instinct and I don't even know why I do them! Most of the time it works out well! Click on this one to see it closer and see how and why you think the red lines work! Your comments are appreciated!
It worked out pretty well then! I'm amazed at how quickly you work. I like the red lines; they give the painting just that little bit of extra interest.
ReplyDeleteA really pretty painting. There's something about the red line, especially around the bowl, that gives the flowers a lift, and makes the painting really eye catching. Hard to describe but really nice. And I like the colours and reflections on the table.
